Update ~ Spring 2026 March 1, 2012 – Posted in: News

Dear Prayer Warriors,

As we look at the world around us, no doubt most of us will agree that we are living in perhaps the most troubling times of our lives here on earth! The Lord’s coming seems to be just on the threshold, as we wonder at His long-suffering mercy over those who reject Christ. Yet He continued to wait patiently for those who will come to Him.

Did you know that over half of our language materials now go to seamen who travel the seas in favor of trade and pleasure (ie. Cargo/cruise ships)? Over half of these seamen are from the Philippines and of those who enter North American ports, the number climbs to 60% being from the Philippines. Serving on the high seas is not an easy job, with the weather conditions, being away from home for long periods, etc. Of the millions of ship containers sailing across the oceans at this moment, about 10,000 containers are lost at sea each year.

We value your continued prayers for our Lord’s blessing on the work to many precious souls. How exciting heaven will be with myriads of testimonies of souls saved and blessed through the printed page, the air waves and other means of multi media. So let’s keep praying and we’ll keep sowing ~ workers together! 1 Cor. 3:8, 9.

Victorville, CA, USA ~ Thanks so much for your ministry – it was very difficult to find the John’s Gospel in the Cambodian language. These items are for a Cambodian friend that has stage 4 cancer. Please pray for Socheata. If you know of a Cambodian pastor in the Everett area, will you please let me know? Socheata speaks English, but I think it would be better to hear the gospel in her own Cambodian language. Hence the order for the Gospel.

Acacia Ridge, Qsld, Australia ~ I have a strong evangelistic zeal & the Lord seems to have introduced me to Asian people. Today I’m having lunch in a Vietnamese cafe. I made friends with these lovely people & gave them a copy of Ultimate Questions in their own language. Yesterday I posted a Japanese version to some friends we’ve known for 10 years. Also yesterday a Canadian man saw me with my Bible in the library & he started a conversation with me. Eventually I shared the gospel and my testimony with him and he accepted a book, Ultimate Questions… God is doing amazing things and it is a blessing to share the gospel.

Fernandina Beach, FL, USA ~ Once again we need Burmese New Testaments for our Seafarers Ministry. We give them to give to crew members on the cargo ships which come to our port here in Fernandina Beach, FL. We would like 20 copies. Thank you very much for your help.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada ~ We are missionaries working in Toronto and the surrounding area. People are here from all over the world; 50% are foreign born. Thank you for your help.

Duluth, GA, USA ~ Thanks for sending those Japanese New Testaments.  I’ll be needing them during Thanksgiving time when we invite international students for dinner.

Cambridge, UK ~ Greetings. Our congregation Grace Church Cambridge meets in a school which on Sunday mornings is also used for other purposes, one of them being a Bulgarian-led school by local Bulgarians who have migrated to the UK. As a church we would like to make some gospel materials in Bulgarian available for them, and I notice that quite a number of them which you show on your website would be suitable. Thank you in advance.

Elkhart, IN, USA ~ Yes, our convenience  stores are loaded with Asian folks. Plus we have a Sikh Temple here. I’m believing  the Holy Spirit will have a wonderful impact. Thank you for your help.

New Orleans, LA, USA ~ We need more Shona Bibles because they’ve been quite popular! Would you be willing to help us order 3 complete Bibles and 8 NTs, or something along those lines?.. Thank you for helping us spread God’s word. The New Testaments came in a couple of days ago. We are thankful for you helping us serve the nations. We are looking forward to sharing Christ through the Scriptures you’ve helped us acquire.

Garner, NC, USA ~ I received the shipment. Thank you so much. The verse posters are beautiful. I can tell they were made with love and care. The ESL students will be so excited to see the posters, tracts, and booklets in their languages. I can tell that your ministry is a labor of love. Thanks for making these materials available in the US.

Portland, OR, USA ~ We have a large population of Ethiopians in the Portland Area (we have about 80 kids in our Christian School).  Our church is getting ready to launch an Ethiopian Ministry on April 13.  Our Amharic Pastor (Pastor Abraham Teanso) requested these items to help with evangelism and discipleship.

Chandler, AZ, USA ~ Tri-City Baptist Church in Chandler, Arizona, USA, is blessed with an international congregation. There are 22 languages either spoken by or that are the native language of various members of our congregation. We often have visitors who do not speak English, or it is not their native language. I found your website while searching the internet for the Ultimate Questions booklet in foreign languages.

Charlotte, NC, USA ~ Thank you so much for this unexpected blessing!  Very kind of you and much appreciated!  I am very active in ESL ministry and refugee ministry, both internationally and in my own community.  These resources will definitely be put to good use.  I have had a difficult time finding resources in Burmese especially, and I was so excited to find your website.

Clovis, CA, USA ~ We are preparing encouragement cards for Ukrainian widows that will be given to them at 3 retreats, in the fall, in Ukraine. We are preparing the cards during a tea that we are hosting this Saturday for 200 ladies, who will each write a card. I was hoping to insert the bookmarks into the cards. Thank you for the 20 that you will send. May God bless your efforts!

Poplar Bluff, MO, USA ~ This Punjabi/English Bible is for one of my best friends who is originally from Qadyan, Punjab. He has been in the U.S. for nearly 10 years and has been seeking his citizenship. He should be able to finally gain citizenship sometime this year. He was raised as a Hindu but his connection/devotion to Hinduism has always been very “loose”. Recently, he was in my office and saw that my Bible was sitting on my desk. That led to a conversation and an invite for he and his wife to come to church with me on Sunday as I was teaching class and leading singing that morning. To my surprise, he accepted my invite, came to church with me, and has shown some interest. He speaks English well but studying the Bible in English will likely prove to be difficult. I wanted to give him this Bible to be able to have better study and with the hope that he will be able to better understand the context of the gospel if it is in his native language.

Armidale, NSW, AUSTRALIA ~ I am trying to reach the Yazidi people with the Gospel.  About 50 families have been repatriated here to Armidale. It’s my understanding they speak either Kurmanji  (northern Iraq) and in the south some speak Arabic. I showed some people an Arabic gospel tract and they couldn’t understand it so I presume Kurmanji is the language in which I need to reach them. They have a very strange belief system which has a strong Jewish influence.

Dublin, IRELAND ~ I received my Bible and its perfect, thank you. I just placed another order on the website for 2 of my friends for 2 Urdu Bibles and 2 Roman Urdu Bibles. Recently a lot of Pakistanis have been arriving in Ireland so myself and some friends are learning Urdu and trying to get Bibles to them.

With regard to the Good News, I am also reminded of Eccles. 11:3 – 6, “If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth… he who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. As you do not know what is the way of the wind… so you do not know the works of God, who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good.” ~ So may we be encouraged to know that our God is completely in control of things down here, and that we can go forward, “while it is called today.”
